Sisters of The Moon curated by Sandra Kelly is a celebration of womanhood. The exciting all female show brought together artists of different disciplines, mediums and methodologies.
Artists included Chloe Austin, Sorcha Peyton, Stina Sandstorm and Frances Cannon. Sisters of The Moon opened officially on Thursday the 13th of July at 6.30pm in GOMA Gallery of Modern Art in Waterford City. Maryrose Simpson founder of MyLadyBug opened the show. This show is a collection of works by emerging and established artists.
Austin's work focuses on mirroring the tension of desiring a unified representation of self image. Technology is so intertwined with the creation of identity that it can no longer be separate from the body as a subject. New technologies give rise to a new way of expression for women.
