Texere/Aegis
Living but a Day: Texere at GOMA Waterford was the culmination of works as part of my practice-based research, exploring the impact of text-based communication on queer and feminist expression across the island of Ireland.
To mark the end of Living but a Day, I invited Cúan Cusack and Natasha Everitt from the Waterford-based queer collective Alien Nation to respond to the exhibition through performance. The performance, titled Aegis, incorporated spoken word, sound and performance art and focused on the complex nature of resistance in all its forms.
